The File of Life is tool used to convey medical information quickly and accurately. A File of Life card contains a person’s identifying information, medical information, and emergency contact information. The information card is placed in a red plastic magnetic file folder which is attached to the refrigerator door.
In the event of an emergency, first responders and emergency medical technicians can quickly obtain information that the patient may not be able to verbalize. The information card can be filled out by the cardholder, the cardholder’s family, or with the assistance of a police officer. Email Sergeant David Sampson for assistance.
