About Sergeant Pugliese
Sergeant Pugliese was born and raised in Watertown, he is a graduate of Watertown High School Class of 1974. After graduating from Watertown High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army in July of 1974. He served in Berlin Germany as a Military Police Officer from November 1974 to February 1978. While stationed in Germany, he met and married his wife Conny, they have two children, Jeffrey and Sasha.

He was appointed to the Watertown Police Department in January of 1980, he is a second generation Police Officer in Watertown, following his father who retired from the Department in 1978. After joining the Police Department, Sergeant Pugliese continued his education and received an Associates Degree in Business Management from Fisher Junior College, his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College and his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College.

Once completing the Police Academy, he was assigned to the Night Patrol Division working primarily in the east end of Watertown. In August of 1993 he was promoted to Sergeant and remained on the night shift as a Patrol Supervisor. In June of 1998 he was assigned to the Traffic Division as the Officer in Charge of the Division. He remained there until his request in March of 2005 to be reassigned back to the Night Patrol Division where he continues to work as a Patrol Supervisor and is responsible (along with Sergeant O’Connor) for Route 5 Community Policing initiatives.

Sergeant Pugliese is the Assistant Director of the Watertown Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy.
