Asbestos abatement is currently ongoing. The privacy fence along with hay bales and situation fence have been installed. The privacy fencing is installed to help minimize the impact the construction work may have on the neighborhood. Unfortunately that means passersby may not be able to see what is happening on the site. Check back to this page for updates of the building progress. The construction trailer is on site and awaiting electric hook up. The contractor anticipates demolition to begin in 3-4 weeks.

The building committee and members of the Town Council took part in the ground breaking ceremony for the new station.
Ground breaking ceremony to be held on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 7 PM
P.J. Stella Construction will begin setting up on the site beginning June 30, 2008. Asbestos abatement will begin the week of July 7, 2008.
On Tuesday June 10, 2008 the Town Council voted to appropriate $14.2 million dollars to fund the construction and furnishing of the new Police Facility.
