Lieutenant Munger was hired in the spring of 1984, worked 7 years as night shift Patrol Officer, 7 years as a night shift Patrol Sergeant, 3 years as the Department Accreditation Coordinator and Training Officer and is currently assigned as a night shift Officer-in-Charge.  Lieutenant Munger supervises the Route 4 community police efforts, is commander of the department’s Criminal Apprehension Team and is an active member of the department’s Honor Guard Unit.  Lieutenant Munger has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Westfield State College and a Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College.
